Present Assignment (from August 94-till date):

Working as Manager Technical with Siti Cable Network Ltd.,
the largest company in India providing CATV services, a joint
venture of Zee Network and News Corp. Job responsibilities
include:
Evaluation and recommendation of future technologies. The
following projects are currently under progress.
Addressability
Interconnection of Networks using OFC
Internet/Data communication over CATV Network
Digital Video Broadcasting through Satellite and Cable
Digital/Analog transmission on Fiber Optic System for CATV
Selection, inspection and recommendation of equipments &
accessories used for CATV Headend and distribution network.
Managing franchises training department.
Recruitment of technical manpower.
Providing guidance to technical team in trouble-shooting.
Co-ordinating with Marketing and Operations department.
Key Result Areas:
Played instrumental role in developing vast CATV network
all over India.
Written technical journals comprising methods and
parameters to be followed by Siti Cable.
Established franchises training section, prepared training
material with visual aids and conducted more than 80
trainings all over India.
Evaluated HFC technology and sucessfully completed pilot
project.
Designed AM Optical Fiber transmission system for various
cities.
Started and implemented the concept of Line Diagram of
Networks.

Previous Assignments:

As Engineer R&D (Aug 91-July 94)worked with IV Communications
Ltd.(HCL and NIIT group of companies),manufacturing CATV
Headend and Network equipments. Designed and developed various
RF, Satellite Communication and CATV products like Broadband
amplifiers, RF modulators and demodulators, Satellite receivers,
Combiners etc. Designed and installed various multi-channel
CATV networks. Co-ordinated with Mktg. and Customer Services
department.

As Asst. Engineer, Production (June 90-Aug 91) worked with
Shyam Communications Ltd., manufacturing Satellite, RF and
Cable TV products. Job responsibilities include Production
of various Satellite and RF products like Satellite receivers,
Amplifiers, Modulators, Passive devices. Installation of SMATV
and small CATV systems.

Implemented Two-way communication (Video Conferencing) on
CATV Network.
Implemented the project of Electronic News Channel on
Network
Executed for Doordarshan production of DRS sets in C-Band
and sucessfully installed DRS sets all over India.
Installation of equipments at VSNL for Digital Uplinking of
Zee India TV (satellite channel).
Live transmission of Zee TV and Video Conferencing through
Satellite for Elections Coverage,1998.
