Participate and supervise the construction, installation and maintenance of a small C.A.T.V. network as well as create and implement computerized billing, inventory, purchasing and F.C.C. reporting systems for this new company. I also designed the system and built the hub/earth station for this network of 47 audio/video channels, entirely underground plant and 500 homes. I also performed P.C. repairs on a regular basis.

Coordinated all plant design, construction, upgrades, disaster recovery and new technology training for a large MSO covering 3200 miles of plant and 82,000 homes. My responsibilities included direct supervision of 6 in-house construction coordinators and an engineering department, 30 to 40 contract personnel performing engineering duties and construction tasks as well as up to 70 technical personnel as needed by the Director of Technical Operations. My budget responsibilities were a minimum of $2M annually.
Some duties included but were not limited to: inventory and purchasing control and approval, accounts payable, and payroll authorization for all contract companies after quality inspection. I also co-created and approved all written contracts with outside companies and vendors to secure all construction bids and materials for each year's budget. Other duties were recruiting, fusion splicing, creating numerous spreadsheets for reports and acquiring design software such as AutoCad and Focus, recommending and specifying P.C.'s for other departments as well as for our contract design companies. | |

My responsibilities included the service and maintenance of 12 C.A.T.V. systems and 12,500 homes in North Alabama and Tennessee. I was responsible for all technical training and operations, recruiting, construction, service and maintenance and F.C.C. proof tests. Other duties were to personally maintain all computers in the earth stations and in the main office. AML links, towers, and all hubs/earth stations in each of the 12 regional locations were also my personal responsibility to maintain.
