  • Troubleshoot and repair Cable Modem and DIVA (Video on Demand) problems associated with RF, AC, DC portion of the forward
           and reverse plant, such as transmission levels, signal losses, off-air interference, including troubleshooting of optical power.
  • Perform RF balancing, align, and adjustment of components and equipment used to amplify and process signal
  • Test main trunk lines using signal level meter, volt-ohm meters, spectrum analyzer, TDR, and other related test equipment
  • Demonstrate the abilities to apply / utilize principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics.
  • Experienced with the installation and technical work of cable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair RF system malfunctions on both forward and reverse systems.
  • Perform splicing, pole transfer, replacement and construction of cable plant.
  • Monitor, log and make necessary repairs for signal leakage.
  • Ability to read general system layouts from blue prints and system maps.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain power supplies.
  • Ability and knowledge about fiber nodes and splicing.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and straightforward manner.
  • Knowledge in address corrections in QC design and drafting
